So as the year closes were going to look back and pick our favorite workouts we did this year in a more than likely futile attempt to deal with this existential crisis we seem to be going through. What does it all mean? Why are we here? That kind of thing.
The excesses of cynicism are at an all time high. There's really no way to tell what's real and what is a lie. Everybody says they care but how do we know? It seems most of what we are presented as humans these days is a pile of bullshit perpetuated to us for someone else's gain. And this elaborate rouse is so abundant and obvious it has become accepted as an unavoidable part of our society.
But you know what we can trust? A 50lb Dumbbell is a 50 lb Dumbbell. And you can trust that if you move that 50lb Dumbbell around enough your body will adapt in many ways. That's a fact Jack. Take it to the bank. Straight up. Whatever.
So the point of all this is this... its hope during all this of uncertainty and deception. There are a few things that will always be true. And one of those truths is what's at the core of the smut we peddle daily. You can rely on your body. If you hold up your end of the deal and treat it right, it will treat you right. Generally speaking, if you take care of it it will take care of you. So when you grab those Dumbells and Thruster them up and down please realize that this is possibly the most real moment of your day today. You can't cheat that. It doesn't lie to you.
So if there's truth in this there is truth in other places. So that gives us hope. Maybe if we focus on the truths we do know and put work there, the other truths will start to reveal themselves. Slowly exposing and discarding the toxic parts of the world we live in.
Truth floats. Lets hope.

50 Jumping Jacks
10 Air Squats
10 Pvc Strict Presses
10 Standing Toe Touches
3 Rounds For Time
30 Dumbbell Thrusters
3 Rounds For Time
30 Sandbag/Backpack Thrusters
At 3…2…1…Go! You take off on an 800 meter run. After that, you will perform 30 Thrusters and then 30 Burpees. That's one round. Your score is the time it takes to complete all 3 rounds.
The weight for this workout should be moderate. We went the thrusters to b challenging but we don’t want you to get stuck there.
The intended stimulus for this workout is a medium paced smooth tempo. Find a pace that you can stick with for a while and push through the need for breaks. You’ll be ok.
Scales and Mods
If you need to change the thrusters to a different movement you can do 20 Air Squats and then 20 Shoulder to overheads. Burpees can be scaled to up downs.
